Thinking Fast

Seven Year 12 students spent a week at Nissan working on a Formula 1 project where they designed miniature F1 racing cars learning how to use brand new programming software and applying engineering theories to their designs.

Thinking First Aid

We were delighted to host the British Red Cross who ran first aid and CPR courses for Sixth Form students.

A Lawful Debate

We were joined by Dr Josh Jowitt from Newcastle Law School to lead us in an ethical debate surrounding medical law. Year 13 also took part in a session about applying to Law School where Dr Josh checked their UCAS applications and gave them useful hints and tips.

Engineering Excellence

Thanks to the funding generously donated from the Reece Foundation, sixth form Engineering students were this week able to take part in a practical lesson involving equipment commonly used within the field of electrical engineering.

Summer Camp Calls

Sixth Form students received a visit from ‘American Summers’ who have decades of experience in the US summer camp industry. They offer young adults a chance to travel to The States and experience the summer of a lifetime working as camp counsellors.  This certainly raised an interest in many of our students!
