Data gathered from the 2021 GCSE results showed that 17.3% of students in Tyne and Wear achieved the highest grade in core subjects, compared to the average for England of 11.8%. This is excellent news for our region and demonstrates how our school ethos of Aspire, Achieve and Enjoy is helping young people from all backgrounds reach for new goals and experience the social mobility that has been slowly kindling in poorer parts of the country. Our passionate staff are committed to realising the best for our students and, together with our sixth form, we are now unlocking the potential we have known the youth of our community possess for a long time.
