Students ‘Going for Green’

Year 12 and 13 travelled to Sunderland university to take part in the launch of the ‘Going for Green’ sustainability challenge, ran by the School of Business. The day began with students taking part in a sustainability masterclass with sustainability expert Elaine Crawford, introducing them to the concepts of sustainability, environmental degradation, and biodiversity.

Thinking about the type of sustainability project they may like to implement in the school/ sixth form as part of the challenge.

Students calculated their own carbon footprint, leading them to think about how sustainable their own lives are and ways in which they could reduce their carbon footprints.
