Pembroke College has begun a series of online subject events for any Year 12 students attending a UK state school, starting with Maths which ran on Wednesday. Participants attend a subject lecture with one of the Pembroke College Tutors, followed by a Q&A with the speaker. Students are also sent a pre-recorded video on Oxford admissions to watch at their leisure.
In the coming week students can tune into sessions in Physics or Physics and Philosophy on Tuesday 20th April (4.00-5.00pm for Physics and 4.00-6.00pm for Physics and Philosophy) as well as Engineering on Friday 23rd April at 4.00-5.00pm.
These events, and many others like them, give Year 12 students a wonderful insight into studying high-level university subjects to help them make decisions now that will impact what they will go on to study in just over a years’ time when they leave us for university.
