Students took part in two Q&A sessions with Speakers for Schools to help them consider future career pathways beyond Sixth Form. The first was with Mandisa Greene, President, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons who spoke about her progress through the Veterinary profession and her passion to increase diversity in Veterinary Medicine. A lecturer at Harper Adams University, Mandisa is familiar with pathways into Vet Med through further education and how our students can best prepare now to enter this community in years to come.
The second speaker was Nalan Dodgson, Director of Talent Acquisition at Burberry. Prior to this, Nalan was the resourcing manager at bespoke department store, Harrods. Nalan paid particular attention to advising students how they can stand out during the recruitment process and how to develop these skills now, for future success in whatever sectors students might choose to enter.
