Last Thursday our Year 12 A Level Business students were treated to a full day of activities at the Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC) Newcastle Offices. One of the four largest international accounting and professional services firms in the world there was a lot to learn about. Students heard from Directors, Consultants, Tech specialists and Administration staff who shared their stories and words of wisdom “Do what you love, Take risks and Network!’. They were impressed to see the newly renovated, state-of-the-art offices providing a range of working environments and support spaces from rooms for prayer, meditation and nursing mothers, noise cancelling pods, pool table, free fruit and standing desks.
Our students did Southmoor proud coming up with innovative thoughtful solutions as they worked as consultants on real-world challenges to build their skills in teamwork, presentation, leadership and problem solving. The group discovered the wide range of opportunities in work and training available that could lead them to work in a global Corporation like PwC in the future. Mrs Lunn would like to thank PwC for an inspiring and informative day and thank our students for being brilliant and leaving a lasting impression.
