On Tuesday 2nd February students attended an online open evening for apprenticeships in engineering, hosted by SETA – a leading training provider in engineering excellence. At this event students could meet employers, view Seta’s training facilities and gain insight into the ‘learn and earn’ opportunities that an apprenticeship offers. Engineering is one of the key sectors for apprenticeship programmes with many available throughout the North East.
On Monday 22nd March we will be hosting a Further Education Open Evening for degree apprenticeships, exclusively for Sixth Form students at Southmoor. This will showcase a range of degree apprenticeship opportunities that offer an alternative route to university while still providing a degree-level qualification. Many sixth form students have gone on to thrive in these types of course and we expect many more will do too, in the years to come. See the video above for more insight into what a degree actually apprenticeship is!
