We were delighted to welcome Andrew ‘Bernie’ Bernard into school to deliver his #LAUNCH workshop to all of our Year 12 students. Bernie is a very inspirational public speaker who is a director of National Careers Week, an event we celebrate in school every March. The #LAUNCH workshop helped our students to look at their individual motivation for success and how to put a personal action plan together to support them moving towards success. Bernie discussed with students that it is really important to know where you have come from, and where you are going to, but perhaps more importantly, knowing how to get to where you are going. Bernie also talked about the #LAUNCH acronym: Learning Mindset (L), Attitude (A), Understanding Yourself (U), Noise (N), Careers (C), and Help (H). Students have taken away lots of ideas to think about to support them planning their future plans.
