Year 12 Geography students descended upon the Lake District to learn a range of skills for the independent investigation part of their A-level course. They stayed at a Field Studies Council Centre in Grange-over-Sands and spent the day in Morecambe learning techniques and collecting data on coastal management. Despite the high winds and snow students conducted their beach profile successfully showing resilience to collect all of the data they needed before learning about statistical tests and GIS. They will now take the data they have collected for use in their studies.
