Our Year 12 geography students completed their fieldwork in the Ouseburn, in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They were given a lecture by Michael and Lydia in the Old Biscuit Factory in Shieldfield in preparation for their tour around the Ouseburn, with a focus on understanding how community voices are a key to development in the local area. They completed questionnaires by asking the residents within the area about their opinion of the regeneration that has occurred in the past 30 years. The trip was very successful and our students have a developed understanding of regeneration in their local area, ready to use in their AS exam.
