Facilities

The Sixth Form at Southmoor is housed in a dedicated wing of the school, completely refurbished and redesigned for our first intake in September 2014. Sixth formers enjoy their own café, open from 8.00am every morning and manned by our catering staff, as well as study areas, a resource room, a computer suite, and classrooms furnished throughout with private study booths. All students have a locker to store their files in, and the newly refurbished toilets are for the exclusive use of Sixth Form students.

Café:
For between classes and extracurricular activities, there is now our pristine new bistro style café known as ‘The Hub’ to enjoy when students have a few moments to themselves. This area is brand new and will be staffed by our catering staff at certain point throughout the day. The café is a fantastic new facility for students, whether they use it for recreation, relaxation or group work over hot or cold food and drink.

Study Area:
Despite the wide variety of enrichment opportunities, extracurricular options and social activities that will be ongoing over the coming years, students are here predominantly to study. In order to provide the best environment possible to do this, a brand new study area has been fully refurbished and equipped with excellent new PCs and work areas.
