Year 12 Physicists were given a wonderful presentation by Ian Mearns. Ian is a retired Chartered Engineer and lectures at Durham University. Ian spoke to the students about potential careers and career paths within Physics and Engineering that many of the class are interested in pursuing. He then went on to discuss some applications of the content within their A-Level and how this has been applied to real-life concepts, such as the Millenium Bridge. The class thoroughly enjoyed their hour and we hope to work with Ian again in the future!
