Our weekly Careers Cafe continued last week and we were delighted to welcome into school Emma Dudley, a former Southmoor student, to talk informally with our students about Careers at HM Customs & Revenue. This is a governmental department that handles taxes, national insurance, support contributions and much more. It is part of the civil service and there is a huge new office being built in the centre of Newcastle which will hold 9000 employees. Next week, we welcome East Durham College and the Sunderland Empire Theatre to talk to students in Years 9 to 13 on Wednesday at 1pm in Southmoor House.
