A group of Year 12 Business students had the opportunity to spend the day at the Newcastle offices of PwC (Pricewaterhouse Coopers), one of the largest professional services firms in the world. Students faced challenging tasks around financial literacy, intoducing them to payslips, income tax and national insurance.
They were able to set realistic budgets and covered a range of key skills throughout the day. They really embraced the office atmosphere and were keen to understand what a day in the life at PwC is like. Our hosts were able to tell our students all about the day-to-day life of the staff and provided an insight into the pathways available into the company, introducing them to the opportunities available to Year 12 students for work experience. The team at PwC were so welcoming and a tour of the offices really provided an opportunity for students to see what it could be like to work at such a prestigious firm!
