Following the death of George Floyd in the USA, with the hope of addressing the issues and challenges racism brings to our modern world, Mr. Ireland has compiled an excellent document that students and parents can reference for further information and resources that provide commentary and insight. We’ve also had an article submission from Southmoor Sixth Form Alumni Margot Stead who has been campaigning for the BLM cause.
Students may also be interested in taking part in the writing competition set up by Chris Evans from Virgin Radio in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. This will open next week and children from 5 to 13 can enter.
