On Thursday, we hosted our first ever Year 12 Careers Explorer. The day was an opportunity for all Year 12 to learn more about post-18 pathways and to have the opportunity to meet with a range of employers and organisations.
During the morning, all students took part in a carousel of activities. This included a workshop from Northumbria University, an apprenticeship awareness workshop with ASK and our Enterprise Advisor, a session to find out more about the range of opportunities at the Newcastle College University Centre and speed-networking with a wide range of employers. During lunchtime, we hosted a super-sized Careers Café featuring many employers from the speed-networking and many more. In the afternoon, many students had the opportunity to take part in a live face-to-face mock interview to practise key interview techniques and employability skills. We would like to thank all the organisations who gave up their time to support this event.
