As part of our ongoing partnership with Sunderland University, we are delighted that academics from the university are coming into school over the next few months to deliver academic taster sessions to our Year 12 students in a variety of different subjects. This is to give students examples of what is studied at undergraduate level within each subject, an opportunity to meet with staff at Sunderland University who deliver these courses, and to give students further insights into what they are studying now and how this links to higher education. Our first sessions took place this week: on Thursday, the criminology department delivered a session to psychology students and those interested in studying criminology in the future; and on Friday, our Health and Social Care students had the opportunity to learn more about what is studied at higher education.
