Over the summer Year 12 student Chloe Todd participated in the Nuffield Research Placements scheme with associate professor Matthew Pound of Northumbria University, a Doctor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at the university. Chloe contributed towards a project that is due to be presented at the American Geophysical Union (13th-17th December) in New Orleans. This is the biggest international natural sciences conference in the world (around 15-25 thousand participants) and having an abstract accepted is a prestigious item on anyone’s CV (and should be celebrated!). Well done Chloe for your amazing work in this very advanced project! You can read the abstract here.
