Year 13 A level Drama students have completed their final performance. They chose to consider issues of power in relationships and identified issues such a domestic violence, coercion and abuse. They explored how these issues are not just connected to one age group, gender or ethnicity but how these hidden issues can be experienced by all people. The thoughtful nature of their work was powerful and moving.
The play was a lens into people’s lives; drawn from real life accounts and student’s own writing. The devised piece was pertinent considering Covid and highlighted increased pressure on relationships. It raised questions about our emotional well-being and understanding of healthy relationships and will prompt us to consider this further through our excellent Personal Development Programme. A superb effort well worth a watch in this short clip of the performance. Well done to our phenomenal drama department! Click here to view the performance.
