We were joined by members of the Social Mobility Commission, a Government appointed board, of which our very own Mr. Wright is part of. The Commission are tasked with finding ways to encourage a fairer society with more equal opportunities. They visited Southmoor to discuss ideas with students and the day featured a lecture on the topic with Dr. Sol Gamsu from Durham University before meet and greet panels were held with Sixth Form and lower school, as well as a discussion with the Southmoor and Sandhill View Student Councils.
