We saw the 2018 launch of the OxNet initiative which now has six schools involved across the North-East. Sandhill at the Sixth Form

Ninety Year 11 students from our sister school, Sandhill View Academy, joined us to take part in taster lessons and presentations to learn more about Sixth Form.

Thinking Fast

Seven Year 12 students spent a week at Nissan working on a Formula 1 project where they designed miniature F1 racing cars learning how to use brand new programming software and applying engineering theories to their designs.

Thinking First Aid

We were delighted to host the British Red Cross who ran first aid and CPR courses for Sixth Form students.

A Lawful Debate

We were joined by Dr Josh Jowitt from Newcastle Law School to lead us in an ethical debate surrounding medical law. Year 13 also took part in a session about applying to Law School where Dr Josh checked their UCAS applications and gave them useful hints and tips.
