Remembrance

Thanks to all our visitors who made such a valuable contribution to Remembrance assemblies, including Julie Elliott MP, the Mayor of Sunderland, Councillor Doris MacKnight and her Consort, Mr Keith MacKnight and Reverend Andrew Dowsett of Sunderland Minster.  The poignant ceremonies included poem readings, musical performances, the playing of the last post and the laying of poppy wreaths hand-crafted by our students.

A Taste of Sixth Form Life

We gave Year 11 students the chance to attend short taster lessons after school in the A-level subjects they could study at Sixth Form. Discussing Art & Science

We welcomed Professor Tom McLeish from the Physics Department of Durham University.  He delivered a guest lecture to the Year 10 and 11 students participating in our Honours Programme at Southmoor and Sandhill View Academies.
